I recently finished this Elle-5 for Oren. The 16” Gibson L-5 from the 20’s and early 30’s is my all time favorite archtop. It can’t be overstated the impact that it had. It became the prototype and standard for how the archtop developed it’s own voice as a solo and rhythm instrument in the decades to come.
